NEED SOME VISIBILITY?

A frequent question from young employees and mentees has been; “In a large group of peers, how can I make myself more visible?” My response has always been “Listen for these two phrases from management”.

- It can’t be done

- No one wants to do this

These two phrases are no lose opportunities to make yourself visible to management because they think no one is willing to take these important issues on. By stepping up to take these opportunities on, it shows management you are willing to take a challenge, even if difficult or unpopular. Even if things turn out different than they wanted, your initiative will not go unnoticed.
